Nova Scotia Atlee Perinatal Database Report of Indicators: 2005 - 2014

The data presented in this report are meant to provide a quick reference to the sentinel indicators of perinatal health and care among Nova Scotia residents. It shows using simple graphs and tables, statistics on deliveries and births, perinatal and infant mortality, labour and birth processes, determinants of maternal, fetal and infant health and their health outcomes. The Nova Scotia Atlee Perinatal Database provides data and statistics to Nova Scotia hospitals and care providers for health services planning to help to ensure quality care for women and newborns in the province.

We hope this report will assist with the development and monitoring of standards of care and will trigger research questions that can be pursued in the future.
