New Guidelines for Clinicians – Prevention and Treatment of Seasonal Influenza

The Association of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Disease (AMMI) Canada has released new guidelines: The use of antiviral drugs for influenza: A foundation document for practitioners that provides information for clinicians on the use of antiviral drugs for the prevention and treatment of seasonal influenza and includes clinical algorithms that can assist clinicians in their antiviral decision making.
These guidelines are now available on the AMMI Canada web site and also via the Public Health Agency of Canada’s FightFlu.ca website, under 'Information for Health Professionals’. Web links to the FightFlu.ca and AMMI Canada websites are provided below for your convenience. This document has also been published in a supplement of the Canadian Journal of Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology, available on AMMI Canada’s website.
